Product Description
Type Cartridge fill fountain pen
Product Name This is one of the "guys" pens from the "Guys and Dolls" series. This is considered to be a precursor of the No Nonsense pens, however the nib unit is different and this pen has a wide band and the White Dot.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- 1969
Length 5-3/4"
Filling System Takes Sheaffer cartridges. We tested 5 different Sheaffer converters and none of them fit, for different reasons. We have heard that the button converter will fit, but we have not confirmed that first hand. We will enclose a Sheaffer cartridge.
Color Red/Orange cap and barrel with a short black section. 1/4" cap band. Gold plated trim. White dot.
Nib FINE gold plated nib. The nibs on the Guys & Dolls pens were unique, and they are not interchangeable with No Nonsense or School Pen nibs.
Condition Very nice condition, actually near perfect except for the barrel which has a long thin crack (see photos). The top of the barrel has marks caused by the cap lips. The cap looks great. The cap band and clip have only light scratching. The white dot has a dot of discoloration in the middle and some surface flaws around the edge. The imprints are clear.
