Type Vintage cartridge/converter filling fountain pen.
Product Name Sheaffer 550 -- a white dot pen from the Imperial line. Towards the end of the Imperial era Sheaffer started producing the Imperial IV with a cartridge filling system, and it eventually evolved into the Sheaffer 550 which had a shorter clip and a V-inlay style nib.

Filling System It takes Sheaffer style cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink via the included squeeze converter
Color Black plastic barrel and cap with gold plated trim and a 3/8" wide cap band.
Nib Medium Sheaffer's inlaid 14k nib is smooth. V-inlay style.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a velvety black, shiny pen that has a nice, classic appearance. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and by posting. It has moderate scratching with some long, thin scratch lines. The section has similar scratching. The cap has moderate scratching with some marked areas of heavier scratching especially near the top of the cap and on the side of the cap opposite the clip. The cap band and clip have moderate microscratching. There is a ring of tarnish around the white dot. The white dot looks good. The imprints are clear.
