Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Imperial III (it's not marked, but this appears to be the correct model based on our research. See info below on the nib, which is a bit different than we have been led to expect on an Imperial III.)
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA - 1960s and 1970s
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Touchdown (vacuum) filling system - in perfect working order with excellent suction ... it makes that nice "whoosh" sound. The O-ring has been replaced, and we examined and replaced the sacs as needed.
Color Various colors from Sheaffers limited palette.
Nib Conical Triumph nib, not marked, silver-colored. Very smooth. (Please note that our research indicates the Imperial III should have a two-tone Triumph nib, which results from a partial masking of the steel by gold plate. This nib is all steel, and seems to be the same great, wet nib they put on the Imperial IIs.)

Condition New old stock, never used. This pen is new old stock from the 1960s. It is absolutely perfect except for a light mark here or there on the plastic which it picked up during the years it was in storage. The gold plated trim is perfect. The chalk mark on the barrel has been removed during polishing.
