Filling System This version of the Imperial IV was one of Sheaffer's first cartridge pens. It takes Sheaffer-style cartridges and the hard-to-find short button converter. We checked them all and the only Sheaffer converter that fits is the button converter. This pen was in such nice condition with the chalkmarks, we decided to ship it with one of our last remaining button converters.
Color Gray plastic cap and barrel with gold plated trim and a wide cap band.
Nib MEDIUM 14k long diamond inlaid nib is smooth with nice tipping. Nib size is medium according to the stamp on the barrel. The nib is nicely springy.
Condition Excellent + condition. There are marks on the section from capping and polishing marks on the cap band. There are a few microscratches on the cap. The original barrel stamp is mostly legible. The cap and barrel imprints are clear. No cracks, chips, dents, or major scratches. The pen is working well with the installed button converter.
