Product Description
Type Fountain Pen nibs which fit the mid-range Sheaffer Imperial pens of the 1960s-70s
Product Name We call them "Quasi-Imperial" because they are similar to the higher end Imperial nibs of the same era and in fact are compatible with the higher end pens.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA - early 1970s
Filling System The nib/section assembly can be fitted with a squeeze convertor, or cartridges. (Not included.)
Compatibility This short diamond style nib/section will fit and be correct in certain mid range Imperial models of the 1960s-70s, such as the 444, 440 and 330.
It will fit other high end pens as well, pens that originally shipped with a 14k nib, including the Imperial Sterling, Imperial Sovereign, 505XG, 440XG, 444XG, 777, 826, 827 and 834 -- to name just a few.
These nibs also fit the 1990s Triumph Imperial revival.
Nib Steel inlay style nib with the short diamond cut out. Select color and nib size from the pull down menu. Some nibs are marked with an impression at the base of the nib indicating nib size, and some had gold colored paint. Some have neither, and we gauged size by examining under magnification.
