Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Imperial VIII. This was the top of the line for the non-metal bodied Imperials, just one step down from the all gold filled Imperial Triumph and the PFM. In fact, it looks like the little brother to the PFM V, only without the snorkel.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer - 1960s
Length 5-3/8" capped
Filling System Touchdown (vacuum) filling system - restored and in perfect working order with excellent suction ... it makes that nice "whoosh" sound. The filling system is guaranteed to function properly and not leak for a period of one year. We include instructions on operating the Touchdown filling system.
Color The body is royal blue plastic, and the cap is gold plated with a lined design. The trim (clip, cap ring) are gold plated. The clip has a white dot at the top.
Nib 14k inlaid nib in extra fine.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips or dents. This is a nicely weighted, shiny pen, in a nice color combination. The barrel and section have light scratching that is a little heavier toward the end. The cap has light scratching but no dents. The cap band area has some plating wear and a small spot that looks like it has been shaved down, we're guessing this was caused by some idiot testing the gold content. The clip looks excellent. The white dot has a bit of discoloration. The imprints are clear.
