Filling System Touchdown filling system. The converter insert can be removed so that you can use Sheaffer cartridges. The Touchdown filling system works properly. The pen includes a Sheaffer squeeze converter, instead of the original gold colored Touchdown Legacy insert. It allows usage of the Touchdown filling system in the exact same manner as the original insert, while also allowing you to use it as a squeeze converter should the suction of the Touchdown filling system fail. (We frequently find the gold inserts have failed, so they frequently get replaced by squeeze converters.)
Color Matte Black barrel with 23k "Gold Plated" cap, clip and trim.
Nib EXTRA FINE 18ct 750 inlaid nib. Very smooth.
Condition Excellent condition. There is one tiny chip in the matte coating on the barrel, about 1/4" back from the section, clearly visible in the photos. The rest of the matte black finish looks great. The section is smooth, with just a few hints of capping marks. The cap looks fantastic - no dents or dings, and all of the plating is intact. There is a little wear on the rubber clutch ring on the section. The nib is gorgeous, a little springy and very smooth.
