Product Description
Type | Fountain Pen |
Product Name | "Lifetime" .... this was the cartridge equivalent of the Imperial VI. In 1963, to celebrate their 50th anniversary, Sheaffer renamed some of the white dot Imperial models "Lifetime." That word is on the nib, clip and cap above the band. |
Manufacturer and Year | Sheaffer, USA, 1960s |
Length | 5-1/8" |
Filling System |
Cartridge (it takes Sheaffer style cartridges, which are currently being made by both Sheaffer and Monteverde). The model is notorious for not fitting converters, but this pen will accept the squeeze converter. We've had others like this in the past and suspect that perhaps they have the wrong barrel, possibly from the 550, but we've seen a few and now think this was the way Sheaffer shipped them. |
Color | Black barrel and cap, gold plated trim. |
Nib | 14k Medium inlaid nib. "M" is marked on the section. |
Condition |
The pen is in excellent pre-owned condition with only light scratches on the plastic and trim No cracks or chips. It's quite a nice pen, and it is a big improvement to be able to use a converter with it. |
