Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Lifetime, the early style called a "Flat Top" by collecters. This is a smaller junior size flat top with a white dot on the top of its cap and another on the end of its barrel (we haven't see one with double dots before, so perhaps this pen is a combination of parts.)
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA – circa late 1920s.
Length 4-1/2".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black radite (celluloid) with gold plated trim, two thin cap bands, and a white dot on the top of its cap and on the end of the barrel.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE -- Sheaffer's Lifetime gold nib is smooth and nicely flexible, almost full flex, with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There are signs of usage, with some small marks and scratches on the cap and barrel. The trim shows a few tiny areas of brassing, but looks quite clean. The imprint is fairly crisp and readable, and we've restored the filling system so the pen works very well. There are two tiny short cracks where the clip is anchored, but you can't see it without magnification. The cap is very solid and stable.
