Product Description
Type Cartridge filling fountain pen, working very well.
Product Name "Lifetime 1500" version which transitioned into the Imperial VI. In 1963, to celebrate their 50th anniversary, Sheaffer renamed some of the white dot Imperial models Lifetime which is marked on the nib, clip, cap, and barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- Circa 1963
Length 5-3/8 inches.
Filling System The Lifetime pens are cartridge/converter pens. They take Sheaffer-style cartridges and the hard-to-find short button converter. We checked them all and the only Sheaffer converter that fits is the button converter. It will ship with an unused cartridge.
Color Navy blue plastic cap and barrel with gold plated trim. The cap is made of shiny and smooth "lustrous" stainless steel with a 3/8" wide cap band.
Nib MEDIUM 14k long diamond inlaid nib is smooth with nice tipping. The section is unlabeled but we're pretty confident that the nib is a fine.
Condition Excellent + condition. No major wear or dents. There is enough handwear for the pen to not look shiny. There is a scraped area to the right of the clip on the cap. You can feel it, but it's a bit hard to see among the general polishing marks on the steel. The white dot has sunken a bit in its socket. The pen is working well.
