Color Black with 14k (marked) cap band and clip. The cap band is a wide 5/16". The wide cap band is personalized, "P.C. McN.".
Nib FINE gold Lifetime Pen nib is large.
Condition Very nice condition for this oversized, velvety black, shiny pen that looks excellent. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and moderate to some heavy scratching (near the end). There is an oval patch just under the cap lip on the barrel; it has a crackled surface and is duller than the rest of the shiny black pen. There could have been a sticker there at some point. The lever has a line of pitting along the right side and lots of scratching near the top.
The cap lip has been reduced and no longer extends beyond the below the band. If you look inside the cap you can see why: there were no doubt some serious cap lip cracks, and the cap still has a large chip under the cap band. It has two thin cracks just above the cap band. There is otherwise very light scratching on the cap. The cap band has moderate microscratching as well as a personalization, "P.C. McN." etched on it. The clip has light microscratching. The clip and cap band are both marked 14k. The barrel imprints are clear.
