Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- post-war, circa 1946-7.
Length Pen is 5-1/4", pencil is 5-1/16".
Filling System The pen is a wire filler aka vac-fil. It is working well with a restored vac-fil system. The pencil takes 0.9mm leads which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism.
Color Blue with gold plated trim and 3/4" cap bands
Nib EXTRA FINE 14k Triumph style two tone nib is smooth with nice tipping material, very fine and firm. There's just minor wear in the masking, which has no effect on the way the pen writes.
Condition Excellent condition. There are some light scratches on the cap and barrel, as well as just a couple on the trim of the pen, and the pencil is in simillar condition though the trim is slightly less worn and the white dot is slightly discolored. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, and no real plating wear. The pen is fully restored, both pen and pencil are working very well.
Both barrels are engraved with gold colored letters which read "W J Marcheski."
