Product Description
Type Modern cartridge/converter filling fountain pen, working well.
Product Name No Nonsense, this is one of the nicer "Old Timer" models which have gold plated trim and nib, and a small top piece the same color as the body of the pen. (You can distinguish between this pen and the black "Vintage" No Nonsense by the fact that it is slightly longer by 1/16" from the regular No Nonsense pens. This increase in length is due to a small black piece that Sheaffer fitted to the top of the cap which effectively plugged the indentation and gave the pen its solid flat top. You can see a small line at the top of the cap, where this insert sits).
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer – circa 1990s or 2000s.
Length 5-1/4 inches.
Filling System It takes Sheaffer cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink via the included squeeze converter. The Sheaffer piston converter is too long to screw into the pen.
Color Black plastic with a chased herringbone pattern. This is meant to look like the chased hard rubber pens from the early 1900s. It has with gold plated trim.
Nib MEDIUM gold plated Sheaffer USA nib marked M. It's smooth and firm.
Condition Near Mint condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, or plating wear. There are some light scratches on the section band but the chasing is great as is the plating. The pen is working very well.
