Product Description
Type Fountain pen based on early 20th century designs
Product Name Nostalgia - model #800
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA -1980-88.
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Cartridge or button converter. (Button converter included.)
We checked the pen with the standard squeeze converter, which we have in the past found worked in this model, but the barrel would not close all the way, so we had to resort to the button converter. We think the barrel might have originally been set up for the rollerball.
Color Sterling silver-etched floral pattern cut-out overlay over black plastic. Marked sterling on the cap band.
Nib FINE 14k nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks or chips. This is a beautiful, ornate pen that remembers an earlier era of pen design. The black is dark and shiny with some light scratches on the peek through pieces. The sterling overlay has microscratching, which are emphasized on the smooth portions. There is some patina visible on the clip and around it, as well as on the silver pieces on either end. There are some scratches in the black plastic near the threads, and we've included a detailed look at this area in the photos. The clip has microscratching and polishing marks. The white dot has some surface marks. The imprints and hallmarks are clear. In Sheaffer box.
