Product Name PFM V -- Pen For Men. Model five is distinguished by the 14k nib, gold cap and gold end of the blind cap.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- this model was produced from 1959 to circa 1968.
Length 5-5/16 inches.
Filling System Snorkel filler. We've fully restored it with a new sac, o-ring, and point gasket, and it's working very well. We'll include instructions on the use of this filling system.
Color Black barrel with a gold filled cap and a small gold filled end plate on the blind cap.
Nib FINE Sheaffer's 14k gold long diamond inlaid nib is smooth with lovely tipping material and a springiness.
Condition Superior condition with no cracks, chips, or dings. This is a shiny, substantial pen. The section and barrel have light wear. The section has an area with some horizontal scratch marks (from capping) and some more moderate scratches to the left of the end of the nib unit. The cap is quite beautiful with alternating long and shorter strips of lined gold, no brassing, just a little wear on the edges of the squared top. There is a teeny shallow dent to the left of the clip. The white dot is slightly discolored. Imprints are clear. In Sheaffer box with PFM handout (the box was for a set.)
