Type Prototype ballpoint pen
Product Name Sheaffer prototype. This pen came out of Sheaffer workshops when they closed in 1990s, and it doesn't resemble a model we have seen in production.

Length 5-3/8". It's kind of chunky and heavy.
Filling System Sheaffer ballpoint refill. Twist mechanism extends and retracts the point.
Color Warm platinum grey, looks like lacquer over a metal shell. The grip section is black rubber/plastic.
Condition Near mint condition. The soft black grip piece has some unevenness, but is largely smooth with no stickiness. The barrel looks great, with just some tiny scratches and nicks in the finish. The twist mechanism works perfectly.
