Product Description
Type Prototype fountain pen
Product Name Sheaffer 100 family. This pen came out of Sheaffer workshops when they closed in 1990s, and we believe that its closest relative is the Sheaffer 100 or 300. We don't think this was ever put into production.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA - 1990s
Length 5-11/16"
Filling System Sheaffer cartridge/converter. We will include a few cartridges, but no converter.
Color Warm platinum grey, looks like lacquer over a metal shell. The section is black plastic and there is a decorative black piece near the top of the cap.
Nib Medium steel nib. It looks a bit like Sheaffer Award nibs, but they are not interchangeable.
Condition Excellent condition. The piece at the top of the cap has some weird texture to parts of it, which may be just the result of aging plastic. The rest of the cap and clip look great, with just some tiny scratches on the cap visible under magnification. The rubberized section is nice and smooth, no damage or wear. The barrel has tiny scratches similar to the cap. The end of the barrel has a few chips in the lacquer with a bit of patina/oxidation peeking through.
