Product Description
Type | Snorkel desk fountain pen and base in excellent working condition |
Product Name | Unknown |
Manufacturer and Year | Sheaffer 1950s |
Length | Pen 6-5/8"; round base 3-1/2" across |
Filling System | Snorkel filler - working perfectly. We replaced the O-ring, point gasket and sac, and it's taking, holding, and expelling water splendidly. We'll send instructions on how to use the snorkel filling system. |
Color | Black pen. The base is Mexican onyx, with a gold trumpet. |
Nib | 14k open style nib is unmarked but seems to be medium. It is smooth and semi-flexible. |
Condition | The pen is in excellent condition with a little wear in the chrome plating of the threads, and some light scratching on the barrel and the tail. The base is quite beautiful, with some microscratching, a little wear on the edge and just some small scratches and spots of wear on the trumpet and it's hardwear (see photos). The trumpet hardwear is a little loose in the base, but it's screwed in, so there's no worry of it disconnecting. This is a beautiful pen, and it will look great on any desk. |
