Product Name Early Sovereign 400 TM (thin model) mechanical pencil. This would have accompanied the Sovereign TM Touchdown pen.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA – circa early 1950s.
Length Just over 5".
Filling System Takes 0.9mm (or "thin") leads which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. We'll include a small packet of leads.
Color "Burnt Umber Brown" with gold plated trim and a 1/4" wide band with no grooves.
Condition Excellent condition with just light handwear and some faint streaks of discoloration. There's some minor microscratching on the gold plated trim, but no real brassing or wear. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprint is clear and readable and the pencil is working very well.
