Type Vintage Snorkel filling fountain pen and pencil set, restored and working well.
Product Name Sovereign, from the Snorkel line. One of the less common snorkel models, it has a steel lined cap with a gold filled clip, no cap band.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1952-9.
Length Fountain pen is 5-9/16", and pencil is 5-1/16" long.
Filling System Pen is a snorkel filler. We've restored it with a new sac, O-ring, and point gasket. Pencil takes 0.9mm leads and utilizes a simple twist mechanism. A packet of leads will be included.
Color Black with a steel cap and gold plated clip. The cap has a pattern of straight and wavy lines on it.
Nib FINE two-tone F3 14k open nib, 14k with palladium masking.
Condition Excellent condition, in box, with paperwork and with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautiful, shiny set in a classic design. The fountain pen barrel has light to some mderate scratching especially near the end where there are a few scratch marks caused by posting. Tha cap has moderate microscratching. The clip is excellent. The mechanical pencil has light scratching on the barrel and light microscratching on the cap. The clip is perfect. The cone is excellent. The imprints are clear on both pieces.
