Product Description
Type | Vintage fountain pen and mechanical pencil |
Product Name |
Stylist 202 (see this PenHero reference for a great article on this nib and a similar model.) |
Manufacturer and Year | Sheaffer, USA. Made starting in 1966. They did away with the "S" logo in 1969, which this pen does not have, so it was made sometime after that. |
Length | Pen 5-1/2", Pencil 5-3/16" |
Filling System | The fountain pen takes Sheaffer style refills or a converter. It will be shipped with a working converter. The pencil takes .9mm lead, and extends via the traditional twist-method. |
Color | Grey plastic barrels with chrome caps and trim. |
Nib | The nib is medium, made of steel, and when turned upside-down it gives a fine line. |
Condition | Very nice condition. There are some small scratches on both pen and pencil's barrel, as well as some minor scratching on the chrome caps, but here's no real wear in which you can see through the chrome plating. The edge of the section on the fountain pen has some minor yellowish discoloration, and the coloring on the white triangle above the nib is about half worn away (see photos). It's a beautiful set despite its minor scratches and wear, the two pieces go well together, and these are always interesting pens. |
