Product Name Stylist 440x. The Stylists started in the late 1960s with flat triangular shaped nibs, but by 1968 they had changed to this version of the conical Triumph nib.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA - this model was made starting circa 1968
Length 5 1/2"
Filling System The fountain pen takes Sheaffer style refills or a converter. It takes squeeze or modern piston converter, they both work. We have installed a new piston converter.
Color Black plastic barrel with brushed chrome cap and gold clip. White dot on the top of the clip.
Nib Medium short version of the Triumph nib, though Sheaffer never called these by that name, possibly palladium silver.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny pen with classic styling and in an elegant color pattern. The section has one short, curved scratch. The barrel has very light scratching. The cap has microscratching. The clip has microscratching only, but no brassing. The white dot looks great. The imprints are clear.
