Product Description
Type Vintage twist fill fountain pen
Product Name Wasp "Vacuum Fil" according to the barrel imprint. While WASP did make vacuum piston fillers, this pen is a twist filler.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer created the WASP (which stood for W A Sheaffer Pen) sub-brand in the late 1930s.
Length Shade over 5"
Filling System Twist filler, restored with a new sac. Carefully twist the blind cap counterclockwise one time around (which twists the sac, emptying it of air) and then, with nib dipped in ink, twist it back so that the two arrow marks are aligned. Wait a few seconds before lifting the pen from the ink to let it fill.
Color Green and bronze marbled pattern. Gold plated trim.
Nib FINE. Vacuum Fil #3 nib with some flex.
Condition Excellent condiiton. The plastic looks great, but the clip shows pitting and the cap band shows wear. No cracks or chips. Barrel is imprinted with "16 T8", one of Sheaffer's "tracer" codes. Restored.
