Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Targa 1001XG. White Dot.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer - they made this model from 1976 to 1988, after which a new version was introduced with gold ends.
Length Barely under 5-3/8"
Filling System It takes Sheaffer cartridges, or you can use bottled ink via the included Sheaffer squeeze converter.
Color Brushed stainless steel body and cap with gold plated trim and black ends.
Nib BROAD inlaid 14k nib is in excellent condition, very smooth with really nice tipping material and a little flex to it. The nib was made with the tipping material a little less than squarely centered on the tip (see photos), but it feels very smooth, this has not actually hindered its writing.
Condition Excellent near mint condition with just a couple of tiny marks and some light microscratching here and there. No dents, dings or brassing. The original sticker with the model number and nib size marked on it is still on the cap. It's working very well.
