Product Name Targa 1081 Fountain Pen - this finish is called laque malachite green ronce.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA - they started producing this pattern in 1989.
Length The fountain pen is 5-3/8 inches long. The ballpoint pen is 5-1/16" and slim.
Filling System Fountain pen requires Sheaffer cartridges or you can use bottled ink via the included converter. The ballpoint pen takes Sheaffer ballpoint refills, and the tip extends and retracts by twisting the top half.
Color Dark green marbled lacquer body with gold plated trim. (There is a lighter "green ronce" color, Targa 1038, but this is the darker malachite color.)
Nib Medium 14k gold diamond inlaid nib, marked M on the back of the section.
Condition Excellent + condition. The fountain pen looks great. There is some microscratching on the lacquer portions. The trim all looks great with just polishing marks, but no brassing or plating wear. The section has long scratches from capping. The ballpoint pen is also in fantastic condition, with just microscratching on the cap and barrel. The nose cone looks fantastic, no brassing or plating wear. The black piece set into the top of the cap has a tiny shallow chip in one edge. Both white dots are perfect.
