Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Triumph 875 Lifetime, aka Sovereign II (it's marked 875 on the barrel, has a Lifetime nib, and a white dot). Frequently mistaken for a Craftsman, though the Craftsman is a non-white-dot model and has an open nib.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA – 1940s
Length 4-7/8"
Filling System Vac Fil. Restored and working well.
Color Marine Green and black striated with gold plated trim, a thin wire cap band. White dot.
Nib 14k MEDIUM two-tone Sheaffer Lifetime Triumph nib. It's smooth with nice tipping remaining. The "79" mark on the nib simply means that it is a short Triumph conical nib. (There is some ink on the nib in the photo on the left tine, but it cleaned off.)
Condition Excellent condition. This is a short pen in a great color and in a classic design. The cap and barrel have moderate wear. The barrel has some noticable scratching around the circumference near the end. The cap band looks good. The clip has plating wear along the edges and at the open end; it is otherwise quite nice. The white dot is a bit off-color, but it is intact. The imprints are clear.
