Product Name Triumph Valiant 1250. This is the oversize fat version.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1940s.
Length Just over 5-1/4".
Filling System Vac Fil. We've replaced the piston and seals and it's working well.
Color Brown striated with gold plated trim, a white dot, and a wide cap band 3/8" wide with etched lines on each side of the band.
Nib MEDIUM-FINE two-tone conical 14k Triumph nib is firm and smooth with nice tipping material. It writes closer to a medium than a fine. The nib looks tarnished in the photograph but it was ink residue and has been cleaned since.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap has a few cracks at the top around the white dot, very common with these striated patterns. Otherwise the pen looks very sharp. The barrel has a few marks and handwear. The imprints are easily read, including the 1250 price that tends to wear easily. There is some plating wear on the trim, but the only brassing is on the tip of the clip. The pen is fully restored and working well.
