Type Touchdown filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Valiant TM ("Thin Model").
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- these Thin Model, non-snorkel pens were made from about 1950 to '52.
Length 5-5/16 inches.
Filling System Touchdown filling system. We've fully restored it with a new sac and O-ring and it's working very well. We will send instructions on how to fill the pen.
Color Blue cap and barrel with gold plated trim.
Nib FINE Sheaffer's 14k gold two-tone conical Triumph nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material. It looks a little bent and un-aligned in our photos below, but we adjusted and aligned it well after the photos were taken.
Condition User grade condtion. No cracks or chips. The clip is bent inwards, though it still presses down firmly and grips things nicely. The barrel has mark wheare it was engraved, but someone sanded most of the engraving off (see photos). There's some lesser scratching on the pen, and the color has faded a little to a slightly more murky blue than the original color. The imprint is fairly clear and readable. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
