Manufacturer and Year The barrel is marked "Bavaria" near the end, so we think this could be German, possibly related to Faber Castell.
Length 4-1/2"
Filling System 1.1mm leads. A packet of leads will be included. The lead is extended and retracted by the black tapered tip. The lead fits into a metal socket.
Color The squared pencil "barrel" is divided into three sections, a longer first section (1-13/16") that is red and dark caramel swirled, a shorter (3/4") section of green and black swirls (this section is set off by two 1/8" clear caramel blocks, and a final, shorter (5/8") section that is the same color as the longest section. The pencil is topped by a 1" long black, tapered piece that extends and retracts the pencil lead. We believe this is bakelite.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks for this unique, beautifully colored pencil. The barrel sections have a small nicks. The "Bavaria" imprint is clear.
