Product Description
Type Vintage pen
Product Name unknown
Manufacturer and Year Unknown, USA (?) -- 1920s-30s. There are really no identifying marks on this pen, though the nib does say made in USA, so we're going with that.
Length 4-3/4" capped; uncapped the pen is 4-5/8" long. The cap posts nicely, and the pen is 6-1/4" long.
Filling System Sleeve filler. You slide the end portion of the barrel back and expose a bar. The bar is pushed in a method not dissimilar to an aerometric bar over a sac. We have replaced the sac and it is working very well.
Color Sterling silver over black hard rubber barrel, and sterling silver cap. The surface is dotted with stars, and there's an area framed and left blank for engraving. The section is black hard rubber. Ring top hardware.
Nib FINE Warranted #4 14k nib, made in USA. Some give, but no line variation.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks, chips, or personalization. There are a few shallow dents on the surfaces of the cap and barrel. We also see some surface marks throughout. The metal disc on top of the cap, where the ring top hardware attaches, has some surface denting and slight pitting. The disc at the end of the barrel has denting. The ring top hardware looks good and secure. The only imprints we can find, other than the nib, is the word "sterling" on top of the cap (it's very faint, but it's there!) and on the barrel near the section.
