Type Vintage fountain pen from
Product Name Model 111 is what we're calling this, as it's what is printed on the cap lip.
Manufacturer and Year Stilus, Italy - the company name existed from 1917 until the mid-1960s. The "Parker 51" style nib suggests this was probably made in the 1950s.
Length 5-1/2" long
Filling System Piston filler. Removing the blind cap reveals a knob that's very similar to a modern converter knob, but it's fully enclosed in the barrel. We have tested the filling system and it's working well.
Color Gold - 18k rolled gold ("laminato oro") with a barleycorn pattern on most of the cap and barrel. There are two band-like areas, about 3/4" wide near the cap lip and front of the barrel, that have a different pattern of fine lines with smooth diagonal panels. Off-white cap jewel.
Nib Fine hooded nib
Condition Excellent condition. The rolled gold overlay has some small scratches and areas of brassing. The unique patterning is clear. The section has lots of scratches from capping. The sides of the clip have plating wear. The cap edge is not perfectly round, so you'll see a tiny cap between the cap and section in some spots. The cap jewel looks fantastic.
