Manufacturer and Year Stratford, USA (New York City), 1940s. This company was originally known as Salz Brothers. The name was changed in the 1930s to Stratford. The pens produced were usually of low quality.

Filling System Lever filler, restored with a new sac.
Color Pearl grey stacked celluloid with gold plated trim. One gold cap band. Black section. Flat top made of the same material as the pen (pearl grey). Slim amber viewing window.
Nib MEDIUM "Iridium Tipped" steel nib.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks. This is a nice-looking shiny pen with unique patterning and coloring. The section is slightly bumpy, though it is a dark, shiny black that is nice. The barrel has mainly light scratching until you get to the end where there are some bite marks. The lever has some light plating wear and light pitting. The cap has moderate scratching and bite marks at the top. The cap band, clip, and the gold band on top of the cap all have brassing, plating wear and delicate pitting all over. The top cap jewel has small deep scratch marks all over. The clip imprint is clear.
