Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips. There's light handwear and scratching, but no obvious individual marks. The cap color is slightly lighter than the barrel. There are touches of brassing on the edges of the cap band. The clip also has a bit of brassing around the edges and on the ball end. The rivets on the clip are brassed, but the clip is still strongly attached and works well. The imprint is strong and still has some gold in the grooves.
We can't find any information on this pen or company. We do know that there was a Clarence E. Barrett who was a major supplier to National Pen Products, which assembled pens and sold them under their brand. They were once one of the largest pen companies in the world, and made medium-to-high quality pens under their own brand names, and also for other large retailers like Sears and Montgomery Ward.
