Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name The Lincoln Pen.
Manufacturer and Year National Pen Products, Chicago -- made in the later 1920s, judging by the styling and material.
Length 5-1/2 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Red and black celluloid (?) in a woodgrain pattern with gold plated trim and black end pieces.
Nib Medium Warranted #8 14k gold nib is smooth with nice tipping material. Not full flex, but definitely some line variation (see writing sample below).
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or personalization. The section is a shiny black with some micro-scratching that is hard to see. The barrel has some scratches where the cap overlaps it. The imprint on the barrel is slightly worn, but still easily readable. The cap has some shallow scratch marks near the top. The clip looks great and has a pretty flower pattern imprint; there is brassing on the ball end. The trim ring has some light plating wear as does the lever.
