Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Unknown -- Around the 1930s based off of the design. The "D" on the lever may indicate Diamond Medal or Diamond Point as the maker.
Length 4-5/16" capped, not including the ring top hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color 1/30 14k Gold filled cap and barrel with black section. The gold filled parts have lined sections with a sort of elongated cable pattern.
Nib FINE Flexible 14k nib is marked warranted #2. It is springy and a smooth writer. With a little pressure you get good line variation, but because it's small and not very soft and requires a bit of pressure, we call it semi-flex in the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. There are light scratches on the cap and barrel, as well as general polishing marks on the smoother parts of the gold filling. The pattern is in good condition. There are small areas of plating wear around the indent for the lever tab, and on the cap lip. There's one small shallow dent near the top of the cap in one of the smooth sections. No cracks or chips, or major scratches. The pen is fully restored and working very well.
