Product Description
Type | Vintage oversized fountain pen |
Product Name | Unknown |
Manufacturer and Year | 1920s or 1930s. Maker unknown, as the only mark is on the nib, and says "Royal." |
Length | 5-3/8" |
Filling System | Lever filler. The filling system is working well with a brand new sac. |
Color | Orange celluloid with gold plated trim. Cream colored end caps with gold plated cap ring. |
Nib | 14k Royal nib is nicely flexible (not quite full flex and not a wet noodle) and medium. Here's the main weakness of the pen -- the tipping material is worn away. See writing sample. |
Condition
|
This pen has been used, but it is in excellent condition. There's one repaired crack on the cap lip, very well done, but other than that no cracks or chips, excellent color. Some brassing on the clip ball and top of the clip. The cap is a little tight when it screws on, so you will need to be careful not to over-tighten. |
