Condition Near Mint condition, it ships with the box and papers. Bakelite was first developed in 1907, and is considered to be the first synthetic plastic; in the early 1990s Visconti produced the Monte Carlo in this material to bring a vintage feel to a modern pen. The pen has some storage wear on it, and came from a collection where most of the pens were never inked, or saw only minimal usage. No scratches, chips, or cracks. Some of the plating is flaking off of the nib, especially where it fits into the section, but this will not affect the writing performance.
