Nib #5 adjustable nib goes from medium-fine to double broad. It is smooth with excellent tipping material. See our writing sample. Also see our note below about the crack in the slider piece.
Condition Excellent condition for this lovely set. The fountain pen must have had some cracks in the cap lip, as it appears a previous owner had trimmed off some of the material to even it up with the bottom of the cap band to mitigate further damage. The cap band has small spots of brassing. The rest of the cap has scratching. There are some dents on the top surface of the clip, and plating wear along the edges of the clip. The barrel also has light scratching. The lever bar has some plating wear on the edges. The pencil has light scratching on the body. The clip has some plating wear on the edges, and the cap band has quite a bit of brassing. The nose cone has quite a bit of denting on it; this does not affect the pencil's functioning, which is really smooth.
NOTE: the adjustable nib slider has a crack on one side, visible clearly in the photos. You will want to take care that when moving it, you push or pull it so that the force is distributed evenly on both sides, to avoid stressing the metal. Be especially careful when pulling it back (to increase flex).
