Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name Doric "vest pocket".... this is from the first series of Doric pens and while not rare, it's fairly uncommon especially in this color.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, made in USA -- 1932-36.
Length 4-7/16 inches. There is a lot of size variation among the Wahl Eversharp pens.
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and tested it. It's working very well.
Color "Burma Pearl" aka gray marble comprised of black with pearly gray veins. Gold filled trim with a patterned cap band and a short gold clip.
Nib Fine Eversharp 14k nib. It is semi-flexible, putting down lines from medium-fine to broad. Please see our writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition for this beautifully colored small-sized pen that shines. The cap and barrel have moderate scratching throughout. The black section looks great, no fading or tool marks. The imprint on the cap is slightly faded, but readable. The cap band has plating wear on the side opposite of the clip. The clip has brassing and plating wear along the edges. The clip is personalized with the initials "CVS". The cap lip looks great, very smooth with no cracks. The lever bar is brassed. There are no cracks, chips, or serious scratches.
