Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen
Product Name Bantam
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp - 1920s-30s
Length 4-9/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We have installed a new silicone sac and tested the pen and it is working well.
Color Black and pearl celluloid. The trim is gold plated. It's a bit discolored, with most of the pearl color in the middle of the pen having turned more of an amber color.
Nib MANIFOLD FINE Eversharp 14k nib is smooth and firm, with good tipping material.
Condition Very nice condition. As mentioned above, the color has faded on much of the pen (see photos). The barrel right around the threads seems to have expanded a little, and has some tiny fissures that don't reach the barrel threads, so it's important to be a little delicate if you ever have to re-sac this pen. There are a couple of very small chips in the lip of the cap. Only very light spots of plating wear on double cap bands, the edges of the lever, and the upper corner of the clip (see photos). There's some lesser scratching and handwear on the cap and barrel, but the pen still looks quite nice, and it's writing very well.
