Product Description
Type Vintage bulb-filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Bantam.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, made in USA -- 1930s.
Length 4 inches.
Filling System The pen is filled via the bulb system. You unscrew the end of the barrel and squeeze the bulb a few times, letting it re-inflate and pull in the ink. We have installed a new sac and tested the pen to confirm that it's working very well.
Color Green Barber-Pole Striated model. It's a spiraled pattern with a pearlescent green alternating with a darker band. The barrel is transparent.
Nib FINE Wahl 0 steel nib is smooth and firm with a nice tip shape. It's a little wide for a vintage fine but it doesn't quite seem like it quite makes medium. It started as a gold plated nib but most of the plating is gone now.
Condition Superior condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There is a smidge of brassing on the trim and most of the plating is gone from the nib. None of the gold plating has pitting though. The barrel transparency is perfect with absolutely no residue and the imprint is crisp. The pen has been fully restored and it's working well.
