Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name This is one of the Equi-Poised Gold Seal models with the seal mounted above the clip, with a roller clip, and three-ring cap band (two thin bands surrounding one thicker, decorated band). The seal is punched, which indicated a pen which was withdrawn from having the full warranty.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA, early 1930s
Length 5-5/8", oversize.
Filling System Lever filler, restored here at PSP with a new sac.
Color Black and Pearl with gold trim. Thin gold bands near both ends.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE nib, marked "Eversharp 14k Gold Seal Signature". This produces some line variation from fine to broad, but we consider it only semi-flex. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. The pearl portions have ambered slightly in some spots, and that is the major flaw. Light scratching on cap and barrel. The barrel has moderate marks caused by the cap lip. The clip has plating wear along the sides. The lever and cap bands have some wear, but no brassing. The gold seal is punched, but is otherwise in good shape. The imprints are clear.
