Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a fully flexible nib.
Product Name Unknown. This is one of the early hard rubber "Wahl Pen" models with the roller clip
Manufacturer and Year Wahl, made in Chicago, USA -- circa later 1920s.
Length 5-3/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black hard rubber in the greek key chased pattern with steel trim, a roller clip, and no cap band.
Nib FULL FLEX FINE 14k gold Wahl 2 nib is smooth with nice tipping material. Very easy line variation from fine to double broad under hardly any pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition though there is a crack in the cap lip which extends a little less than half an inch (see photos below). The crack stops before it touches the threads, so the cap is still airtight. There are some tooth marks on the upper cap and the end of the barrel, and a few small scratches. No chips, dings or dents in the trim, and no personalization. The imprints are a little worn but readable. It's fully restored and working well.
