Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a flexible nib, restored and working well.
Product Name Unknown. This is one of the early celluloid models.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl, made in Chicago, U.S.A. -- 1920s.
Length 4-3/18 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Green marbled celluloid with black ends, two thin cap bands, and a thin band between each black end and the green color.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Wahl 2 gold nib is smooth with small but nice tipping material. It's nice and flexible, but not quite as soft as what we would call fully flexible. It gives easy line variation from a thin fine to a nice broad under hardly any pressure, and to a large double broad with a bit more pressure. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition aside from discoloration which causes the jade green to appear brown. No cracks, chips, dings, dents, or personalization, and only a couple of tiny touches of plating wear on the trim. The imprint on the cap is still crisp and very readable. The pen has been fully restored and it's working well.
