Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautiful, shiny, woodgrained pen and pencil set that has a wonderful deep redwood patina. The fountain pen barrel has some splotchy marks caused by the cap lip. The black section also has these same marks. The lever has two small pits and light scratching. The cap has light scratching, mainly at the top, not to be confused with the wood grain. The double cap band has moderate microscratching and a bit of pitting along the bottom edges of both bands. The clip has light plating wear and light microscratching. The top cap band has moderate microscratching. The mechanical pencil has a scratch below the clip and a few other long, thin scratches but mostly it has light scratching. The cone is silver colored, we don't think it was originally gold colored. The clip has some microscratching. The thin gold bands above the clip (2) have light microscratching. The band above the double bands has moderate microscratching. All imprints are clear.
