Product Description
Type Small ring top pen
Product Name unknown.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Pen, USA - late 1920s
Length 3-9/16" long. The ringtop hardware is missing.
Filling System The pen is filled via the lever system. We have installed a new sac and tested the pen and it is working well.
Color Sterling silver, with a machine engraved pattern that's called "Grecian Border". The barrel is all metal, only the section is black hard rubber with a silver overlay, and Wahl advertised this pen as having a larger ink capacity than other pens as a result.
Nib 14k almost fully flexible Wahl #2 nib -- see writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The engraving pattern on the cap is somewhat smoothed down, but still visible. The patterning on the barrel is stronger. Both cap and barrel have light scratching and handwear, with a few moderate scratches. There some dots of pitting near the cap lip, and on the section near the nib. There is a ring of scratching on the barrel caused by the cap lip. No cracks or chips or bite marks.
