Type fountain pen with a flexible nib and a mechanical pencil
Product Name 0512 1/2 V PSF (marked on the end of the barrel). This pen uses the pre-1917 numbering system. 0 = gold filled, 5 = full overlay, 1 & PSF = lever filler with screw cap, 2 = nib size, 1/2 = slender, V = short.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA -- 1920s.
Length The fountain pen measures 3-5/8".
Filling System The fountain pen is a lever filler. We've restored it here at PSP with a new sac.
Color Complete gold filled overlay with etched border lines and striated end of barrel. The overlay goes over smooth black hard rubber.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Waterman's Ideal New York #2 gold nib is very smooth. It has lots of tipping material and writes with good line variation. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. No dents, dings or personalization. The edges of both ends are brassed. There a nick on the top of the cap and a short but rather deep scratch in the cap. The end of the barrel has some dings. The imprints are clear.
