Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully.
Product Name Model 0552 1/2 L.E.C. (version of the 52 in a gold filled finish and slender barrel). L.E.C. stands for "lower end covered," meaning the end of the barrel was fully covered with metal.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman - circa 1920s
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System Lever filler (We've replaced the bladder and it's working very well.)
Color Gold filled finish in an 18k checkered design. The section is black hard rubber.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE. The nib is marked Waterman's Ideal New York 2. Flexible nib writes from fine to at least double broad. Very close to what we would call a wet noodle, but everyone has their own ideas of terms for flex, so please refer to this pen's writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with only the lightest signs of use. There's just a tiny bit of wear on the ball of the clip and the top corner of the cap, along with a very minor indent in the edge of the end of the barrel but otherwise no dents, dings, cracks or chips. There's a little microscratching on the finish, but it's absolutely beautiful.
Engraved with the initials L.W.C. on the barrel.
