Type Vintage lever filling ring top fountain pen.
Product Name Model 0552 1/2 V (marked on the end of the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA – circa 1920s.
Length 3-9/16" not counting ring hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Gold filled filigree over black hard rubber. The metal is engraved with a pattern similar to Waterman's filigree basketweave.
Nib SEMI-FLEX EXTRA FINE gold Waterman's Ideal #2 nib. It's smooth with lovely tipping. The top of the nib is a little worn, but this doesn't affect its writing at all. It's flexes easily to a medium line, and with a little pressure you can get a small broad line from it. See writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition, though there's some slight wear on the cap. Microscratching and handwear on the barrel, as well as one tiny spot of plating wear. No cracks or chips, dings or dents. All the imprints are clear. It's fully restored and working well.
The barrel is engraved LS on the barrel (see photos).
