Condition Excellent condition for this large, strikingpen. The BHR underneath the gold filled overlay is faded to a brown and some of the brown sections peeking through have flecks of the original black remaining. The section has horizontal capping lines and the top edge of the section has some chipping but the section coloring is a nice dark black. The BHR end piece is also faded and has two long thin horizontal scratch lines toward the top. The 18k gold filled basketweave looks excellent with only some microscratching. The ball on the clip has some dents and doesn't fully contact the surface of the cap. The nib has some plating wear. The imprints are clear. No cracks or personalization.
